Our Team
Philip Pollack
Philip is a proud graduate of Western University and Osgoode Hall Law School. He formerly practiced civil litigation at a large downtown Toronto law firm, primarily representing large national and international insurers.
Today, Philip uses the knowledge and expertise he gained from years of defending insurance companies to assist victims of personal injury in achieving the best possible results for their case. Philip’s personal injury practice focuses on motor vehicle/snowmobile accidents, slip and falls, long-term disability claims, product liability and sport/recreational litigation.
Philip regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has successfully argued before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and Ontario Court of Appeal. Philip is also a member of The Advocates’ Society, The Toronto Lawyers Association and the Ontario Bar Association.

Ziv Tsimerman
Since Ziv’s graduation from Osgoode Hall Law School, he has devoted his practice to holding insurance companies accountable to his clients. He represents individuals in all areas of personal injury, including motor vehicle accident, slip and fall, disability, product liability and medical malpractice claims.
In the courtroom, Ziv is a fearless advocate, dedicated to achieving the best results for his clients. He has extensive trial experience, including his notorious decision of Valentine v Rodrigues, where he had a significant victory against an insurer that refused to provide any compensation for his injured client.
Ziv is an active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Canadian Bar Association. He is fluent in both Hebrew and Russian.

Lianne Sharvit
Lianne is a graduate of McMaster University (B.A. in Political Science) and Osgoode Hall Law School (J.D.).
Prior to joining Pollack Tsimerman LLP, Lianne worked at a prominent law firm in the insurance defence and personal injury groups, representing insurers and accident victims with respect to both tort actions and accident benefits claims. Lianne has appeared in the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. She has extensive experience with interlocutory matters, including motions for summary judgment and examinations for discovery, and has been involved in accident benefits arbitrations, as well as private arbitrations. She has participated in a number of jury trials at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Lianne’s practice is now devoted to representing accident victims and ensuring her clients get the compensation they need and deserve.
Michelle Farb
Michelle graduated from Western University and Queen’s University Faculty of law.
Michelle joins Pollack Tsimerman LLP after years of working in-house for one of Canada’s largest insurers. While there, she gained extensive litigation experience and valuable insight and an understanding of how the insurance industry operates.
Michelle has conducted various jury trials and argued complex motions before the Ontario Superior Court and Divisional Court.
Michelle’s practice is committed to Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation including motor vehicle/snowmobile accidents, slip/trip and falls, disability and product liability claims.

Julie Koritar
Julie is a senior law clerk who has been working in the legal field for 16 years. She has worked in some of the best insurance defence firms in downtown Toronto. Since becoming a member of our team, she has used the extensive experience she gained working for insurance companies to assist our clients achieve the best outcome possible.
Julie focuses on fighting for our client’s right to obtain all the benefits they are entitled to and assists in all areas of your case. Julie enjoys gardening, kayaking, travelling as well as spending time exploring all the dog parks across Toronto with her two dogs.
Laura Barbosa
Laura Barbosa is a Senior Law Clerk at Pollack Tsimerman. She attended York University where she completed a Bachelor of Commerce. After some time working in the field, she developed a passion for law, which led her to obtain her Paralegal Diploma from Seneca College, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and High Honours. Working in Personal Injury and representing injured victims means so much to Laura, because she knows that we are helping those that need it the most and her skills and abilities are being used to bring a positive change in people’s lives.
Laura believes, it is especially meaningful to be able to do so with such an incredible firm. For Laura, being part of the Pollack Tsimerman family means that she is part of a group of intelligent and dedicated individuals who will work hard to ensure every single client gets the best results. She truly takes pride in the work we do. Laura is fluent in Spanish, doesn’t drink coffee, and loves volleyball.
Luca Drago
Ayla Koritar
Ayla Koritar is an administrative assistant at Pollack Tsimerman LLP. Ayla is a recent graduate of Ryerson University having completed a degree in Business and Law. Ayla enjoys working in the field of personal injury because it allows her to act for people that need their voice to be heard.
In Ayla’s opinion, Pollack Tsimerman has allowed her to do exactly this by creating a positive environment where the client always comes first. In Ayla’s spare time, she enjoys going on hikes, taking photos, and listening to music.
Zhen Zhen (Jennifer) Yang
ZhenZhen (Jennifer) Yang is a Law Clerk at the firm, working closely with PT Partner Philip Pollack on personal injury cases. Fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, she is also a Notary Public.
Having graduated from Humber College in a Paralegal specialization, she is a member of the Law Society of Ontario in good standing. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys hiking and traveling.
